Over the last several months, I’ve been building an app in my spare time and yesterday, a local climbing gym here in Denver began using it as my first beta tester. Yesterday, I also told my boss I’m leaving my $80k a year finance job to pursue this full time. This year for me has been about living a little more intentionally and doing things on my terms. I’ve wanted to code ever since I started making games on my TI-83 calculator in middle school. It’s just the way my brain works and it never felt like “work” to me. I started teaching myself to code six months ago and it’s been one of the most frustrating and rewarding things I’ve ever done. I would like to say thanks to my friends and family who have supported me through this. And sorry for all the climbing or weekend camping trips I’ve bailed on so that I can code. Don’t give up on me! I’ll have some more free time soon.
